Jewish and Interfaith Weddings

A Jewish wedding ceremony is a sacred and transformative ritual. Rabbi Deb would be happy to work with you in creating your own special Jewish wedding ceremony.

Together you can create a unique and beautiful ceremony that blends the traditional with the innovative and can also include elements of music, poetry and art if you desire. Your ceremony will present opportunities for participation by family and friends as well. You will remember your wedding as a powerful, spiritual and truly special event, a time you will never forget.

Rabbi Deb will officiate at Jewish and interfaith weddings where there is a commitment to have Judaism present in your life. Each part of the wedding ceremony presents an opportunity to examine and learn about different aspects of Jewish life.

Rabbi Deb offers several pre-wedding counseling and education sessions to couples in a safe and supportive environment. Each session is appropriate to the needs and concerns of the couple. Rabbi Deb has more than twenty years of experience and skills as a clinical social worker and family therapist. She is specifically trained to deal with issues of multiculturalism and religious diversity and is pleased to officiate for LGBTQ couples.

The fee to officiate at a wedding ceremony is $1,100. Huppah rental (includes four sturdy poles) is $125. Deb’s huppah is a hand-made Ethiopian rainbow tallit (prayer shawl). Reasonably priced artistic Ketubot (wedding contracts) are available and cost from $75 to $150, depending on text and design. Please contact Rabbi Deb to discuss your needs.

Dear Rabbi Deb,
Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding day. The ceremony was beautiful and personal. We really appreciate your flexibility and responsiveness throughout the entire planning process. You really made our day so special!

Rabbi Deb,
Eric and I wanted to extend our appreciation to you. The ceremony was so beautiful and it was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart – most especially, for incorporating our children.
